Source: From seeds wild collected by Midwest Plant Collecting Collaborative (MWPCC) 2004 Ozark Expedi (No. MWPCC 2004-075) on 23 Oct 2004 on Hwy 309 N toward Magazine Mtn from the south in National Forest, Yell County, Arkansas, U.S.A..

Location: Ozark: R-25/83-60

Irregular shaped tree 6 ft tall and 2 ft wide in good condition with some insect damage to leaves. DBH: ~4 cm. Tree bark was smooth and gray-brown. Twigs smooth and green with some red-green; previous years smooth and brown gray.
