Source: Seeds wild collected by The Morton Arboretum, along St. Joseph River along River Trail on Fernwood Botanical Garden northwest of Niles, Berrien County, Michigan, U.S.A.

Location: Midwest O-68/49-28

Oval shaped tree 18 feet tall and 6 feet wide in good condition. One trunk at ground level with smooth/slightly textured grey-brown bark. DBH~ 8 cm. This year's growth is smooth and brown. Previous growth is smooth and grey-brown.
