Source: From seeds wild collected along the south side of the North River about 2 miles southwest of Norwalk and 0.5 miles west of IA-28, Warren County, Iowa, U.S.A.

Location: Fagaceae: M-18/26-67

Round shaped tree 20' tall and 12' wide in good condition. DBH: 18 cm. Tree bark shreddy and gray-brown. This year's growth green; previous years growth smooth (with some shreddy texture) and gray-brown. Very new growth leaves have reddish color. Variable leaf size on different sides of the tree.
