2011-09-25 Lower Austria, district Krems-Land: Wachau - Dürnstein (XXX msm Quadrant 7559/3). German name: Flaum-Eiche This is a typical downy oak forest on the southerly exposed slope of Wachau near the town of Dürnstein: extremely dry, xerothermous habitat. It is also one of the westermost natural downy oak forest of Austria - the western edge of Pannonian climate.
